The Scent Institute began with a simple frustration: most incense burners felt either too ordinary, too decorative, or too far away from the feeling of the ritual itself.

Incense is not only about fragrance. It is about the few quiet minutes after it is lit — the movement of smoke, the warmth of the room, the way a small object can change the mood of a corner.

We wanted to create something that felt worth keeping.

That is why we turned to bamboo.
